Holy Trinity Church before it burned down
The old Church before it burned down

Started on Feb. 13, 2004 the Vital Vittles free lunch program was originally housed in the old Church.
The church burned down in 2005, and after continuing in alternate locations, the program is now hosted in the new church.

On the opening day in 2004, many notable Sooke citizens attended the free lunch. Not only was the vegetable soup with lentils tasty, but there was pizza provided by Andy Carrier of Sooke 2 for 1 pizza. Also a treat was to see the Mayor of Sooke, Janet Evans and Counselor Lorna Barry in attendance. Local MP, Brian Kerr attended, as well as Harry Eearks the reverend of the church at that time.

The Free Lunch is served at 1962 Murray Road, the street that goes down to the waterfront at the junction of Otter Point Road and Sooke Road.

Open to everyone, single parents with tots, adults, seniors and teens. It's a time to come and meet your neighbors and get a good meal.
