Sooke Harbour Players presents this high-energy musical comedy based on the iconic film with music by Dolly Parton. Set in the 1970s, the story follows three women who challenge and transform their toxic workplace into one built on fairness, inclusivity, and respect. See website for showtimes.

A family-friendly celebration of Sooke's agricultural heritage and the harvest season. Local produce, pie, kids' activities, and live music. Donations welcome to support the community gardens and orchard.

The Sooke region encompasses the District of Sooke and East Sooke, two communities joined around the sheltered Sooke Harbour and Basin, as well as the outlaying areas of Otter Point and Shirley further west.

Our pleasant climate is ideal for outdoor recreation: hiking, cycling or horseback riding on local trails; kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding in the sheltered harbour or local lakes; and fishing, sailing or whale watching in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Sooke also supports a wealth of interests through communtiy organizations, such as music, theatre, arts, and team sports.
