Around 200 swimmers brave the cold waters at Whiffin Spit for the Annual Polar Bear Swim presented by the Otter Point Volunteer Firefighters Association. Registration at 11:30am, swim at noon. Hot chocolate served afterwards.
Sooke Folk Music Society presents monthly indoor live music every third Saturday. This month's featured concert performance by Martin Kerr. Doors open 6:30pm.

The Sooke region encompasses the District of Sooke and East Sooke, two communities joined around the sheltered Sooke Harbour and Basin, as well as the outlaying areas of Otter Point and Shirley further west.
